St. Lucia, where the palms trees meet the clear blue sea. A must go to destination; not to mention it’s my parents’ hometown. St.Lucia is also known as Helen of the West.
I’ve traveled to this island over 9 times and still feel the same vibe. St. Lucia has always been true paradise. From the french speaking language to the yummy foods, coconut water, golden apples, tambourine balls and sugar canes – the island is a a true gem!
A few highlights of this beautiful island are: horse back riding through the trails and soft golden sand of Cas en Bas Beach on the Atlantic Coast. Parasailing! An unexplainable feeling I would never forget. Just me, myself & I on top over viewing the island. I was at peace, relaxed and reflected on life and how grateful I was to experience the view from above pulled by a boat hundreds of feet below.
A very popular destination in St.Lucia offering spectacular views are the Pitons. They are two mountainous volcanoes located near Soufriere and Chioseul which is on the southwestern part of the island.

Gros Islet Fish Friday is the best street party. It’s a strip of bars and restaurants to chose from filled with a live DJ, vendors, dancing, drinking the local rum and eating every Friday night. One of the most inspiring attraction is The Sulfur Springs. Many tourist flood to this natural destination because of it’s natural heated black mud bath which is therapeutic for your body. The minerals stream down from the domain Piton Mountains into the bath. Scrubbing the minerals on my skin left me feeling smooth, soft and revived. The sulfur in the natural spring is great for:
- tightening your skin
- clearing dark spots
- and it helps with the itchy mosquito bite marks.
Going to this mud bath is the best way to unwind and take care of your body and to relax your mind. I find happiness in the simple things and I travel to learn different cultures perspectives and to experience their lifestyle. St.Lucia’s culture, scenery, sandy beaches & natural resources always seem to make me feel at home. If you’re looking for a beautiful destination in the Caribbean- I highly recommend visiting St. Lucia.
