Skift Take: Airports are spending massive amounts of money on new terminals and renovations. But is that the right approach? Ryanair and Southwest have proven the no-frills approach works for airlines. It probably makes sense for some airports, too. Maybe they should focus on building the cheapest, most utilitarian buildings rather than marvels of modern architecture.
